What can you expect on a Vuya Walking Safari? The short answer is: the unexpected. From marvelling at the tiniest insect to thrilling Big Five encounters, each trail takes us on a new adventure.
Our standard package is three nights but if you’d like to extend your stay, we’re always happy to tailor a trip to suit your preferences. In our humble opinion, the more time spent in the bush the better.
Sunrise Walk
Wake before dawn and enjoy a quick coffee while getting briefed by your expert guides.
On the walk you’ll witness the art of animal tracking and experience the bush – with all its distinctive sights, sounds and smells – in awesome detail. Listen, learn and awaken your senses to the surprising wonders of the African wild.
Your safety is our number one priority. We walk responsibly and treat the animals we encounter with the utmost respect.
Brunch
Return to camp for a hearty brunch, prepared by our fantastic local chef.
Leisure Time
The heat of the day signals time for some well-deserved rest and relaxation. Read a book in the shade of a Jackalberry tree, nod off in a hammock or simply enjoy a rare moment of peaceful contemplation.
Sunset Drive or Walk
Depending on your preference and the temperature, we will do another walk in the afternoon or a sunset drive.
The drive allows us to get close to larger game and venture deeper into the reserve. Sundowners and snacks are laid out at a picture-perfect location. This is followed by a night drive with the chance to see the bush from a new perspective and spot fascinating nocturnal species.
Campfire Dinner
Come home to a delicious dinner and storytelling around the campfire. Laugh, unwind and relive the memorable moments from the day.
